These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BookSaarthi Customer and Partner apps and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

BookSaarthi is a technology platform that connects customers with independent vehicle owners and drivers in Prayagraj and surrounding districts of Uttar Pradesh, for wedding (barat) processions, daily vehicle hire, farm-equipment hire, shared rides, and fixed-route travel. We act as an intermediary; the transport service itself is provided by the vehicle owner/driver.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and a valid mobile number, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be 18 or older.
• We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the Service or violate these Terms.

3. Bookings

• Prices shown at the time of booking may vary by season, distance, vehicle category, and demand.
• A booking is confirmed only after the required advance payment is received. Until then it remains pending.
• For dispatch bookings, we attempt to connect you with a nearby available driver; if none accepts within the search window, the request expires and any advance is refunded per Section 5.
• Shared-ride seat prices are fixed per route; a seat is reserved only once payment succeeds.

4. Payments

• Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details.
• You pay an advance to confirm the booking; the balance is payable as shown in the app (to the driver or via the app).
• BookSaarthi charges participating vehicle owners a commission on completed bookings. This does not add a separate charge to the customer beyond the quoted fare.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

• You may cancel a booking from the app. Cancellation timing may affect refund eligibility.
• If a driver cannot be assigned or the operator cancels, your advance is refunded to the original payment method.
• Refunds, where due, are processed through Razorpay and may take several business days to reflect.
• Bookings are never deleted from our records; cancelled bookings are retained with a cancellation reason.

6. Partner (Vehicle Owner) Obligations

• Provide accurate vehicle and availability information and hold valid registration, permits, and licences as required by law.
• Honour accepted bookings and serve customers safely and courteously.
• Payouts are made to the UPI ID on your profile; keep it accurate.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, provide false information, harass drivers or customers, or use the platform for unlawful purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

BookSaarthi is an intermediary connecting customers and independent transport providers. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, delays, or conduct of drivers or customers, or for events beyond our reasonable control. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the platform fee we earned on that booking.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
