BookSaarthi ("we", "us", "our") operates a vehicle-booking platform serving Prayagraj and surrounding districts in Uttar Pradesh, India, through our Customer app, Partner app, and website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your choices. By using our apps you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Mobile number — used to sign you in via one-time password (OTP) and to contact you about bookings.
• Profile details — your name, village/town, and district.
• Booking details — pickup and drop locations, dates, times, vehicle type, and passenger count.
• Partner details (Partner app) — vehicle information, availability, and UPI ID for receiving payouts.

Information collected automatically

• Location — approximate and (with your permission) precise location, used to find nearby drivers, geocode your pickup point, and show relevant routes. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings; some features may then be limited.
• Device & usage data — app version, device type, and notification tokens for sending booking updates.

Payment information

Payments are processed by our payment partner Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card, UPI PIN, or bank credentials — these are handled directly by Razorpay under their own security and privacy terms.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you via OTP.
• To accept, confirm, dispatch, and fulfil your bookings and connect you with vehicle owners/drivers.
• To process advance payments and balance payments, and to calculate partner payouts.
• To send you booking confirmations, driver details, and service notifications (via WhatsApp, SMS, or push notifications).
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• To improve the reliability and safety of our service and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing Your Information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Vehicle owners / drivers — your name, pickup location, and contact number for a confirmed booking, so they can serve you.
• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and push-notification infrastructure.
• Razorpay — to process payments.
• Ola Maps — to convert locations to map coordinates (geocoding).
• Legal / safety — when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal and tax requirements, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data (see contact below); some records may be retained where the law requires.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Access, correct, or update your profile details in the app.
• Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Our service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed at children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
